I  love the new pocket display that can stay up all year and easily change out student work.

Classroom set-up

Here is my classroom set-up progress in pictures.

A total mess!  But everything moved from my old room to the new one.

The pile slowly getting smaller!

Book baskets in cubbies...but so upset that the color pattern is off due to some baskets finally tearing up after years of use.   It looks like a trip to the dollar tree is necessary!  I hope they still have the dark blue colored baskets!

                                                                   Reading area.

Tables in place with seat sacks on the chairs.

Border up around the bulletin boards.

So Much left to do, but very excited about the progress made in two days!

Preparing for a new School year!

I have been a busy teacher this week.  I have been crafting and creating things for my classroom as well as organizing and purging unused classroom clutter!  I am thrilled to have the major part of classroom set-up behind me.  I moved classrooms this year and it was the perfect opportunity to weed out things that I haven't used in a while.  Here are some pics of my cute pinterest inspired crafts and decor.

Target Finds

So, I finally made it to Target after seeing all of everyone in blog land with their great finds!  I was a little disappointed that I couldn't find the mini pocket charts with the dry erase boards on them.  Maybe  next time.

I found these cute Dr. Seuss items.  Erasers and Silly Bands.  Probably going to use these as treasure box reward items.

I found some cute wooden pointers, mini dry erase markers and magnetic mini erasers for the white boards.

I found Smellies!  LOL. If you are thinking I'm crazy right now you have to read Mrs. Miner's super cool idea for teaching left and right at her blog http://kindergartenmonkeybusiness.blogspot.com/2011/07/teaching-left-and-right.html

Crayon Wreath for my door this year

I had a lot of fun making this.  It took one foam wreath, two rolls of ribbon, 4 boxes of crayons, and a hot glue gun.  I want to add a little something to it at the bottom.  Maybe a bow or something with welcome on it.
